¹⁶ There were Obadiah, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah, the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah. They lived in the village of the Netophathites.

¹⁷ The gatekeepers were Shallum, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman, and their brethren. Shallum was their leader. ¹⁸ They have been stationed at the king’s gate on the east up to the present day. They were the gatekeepers of the Levites.
